JOHN MELLENCAMP on the front cover of the August 5, 1996 issue of "HITS", a music industry trade magazine geared toward and only available to the "insiders" of the industry. It is NOT available to
the general public, thus making it a tough find and highly collectible. HITS is like a hipper version of BILLBOARD magazine, treating the industry with irreverence while containing interviews with the stars,
"Top 50" charts, and tons of beautiful ads and photos of the biggest names in music, printed on high-quality, glossy paper.

Howard Publishing, INC ... copyright 1993 - Harbound with black binding/red title on cover ~ with very attractive dust cover/Photo cover/size is: 9 X 12" with no page numbers ~ but about
3/4"thick/first edition... inside dust cover reads in part: " I began this project quite innocently by inviting two elderly bachelor brothers to the studio to make their portrait. They just
happened to be Hoosiers. I began to think about the unique and interesting people I had come to know from Indiana and decided to investigate. I began this project with a detached curiosity. What makes
Hoosiers different? Why does part of this state insist on livng one hour behind the rest of the country? Why have so many famous people form the state retained their Hoosierness? Why are these solid
conservative people often the punch line of a joke? In the almost seven years of putting together this collection, I can't say that I've found the answers. I have come away
